VIAM AND MINH | wedding

When Viam and Minh told us they’d have entertainment at their wedding we had no idea just how much!  Let’s preface this by mentioning that Mihn has 5 sisters  — all talented in one form or another.  One of her sisters danced, another played the piano, Mihn did a tissue routine cirque du soleil style, Viam rocked out on an electric guitar and Mihn’s dad danced the tango.  It was seriously a night to remember! 

Viam & Mihn — you guys are the most hilarious, down-to-earth, sweetest people ever!!! But you probably already knew that! we are so blessed to know you guys and can’t wait to show you the rest of your images!!!!

ANGELA & DEXTER | Wedding

July 22, 2009 – 1:27 am

Angela & Dexter are both chemists so it was only fitting that they have a science themed wedding.  All their tables were named after elements of the periodic table and their flowers were placed in beakers! :)  It was awesome!!!  To top it off, their wedding logo was DnA…get it?!?!?!  Dexter -n- Angela…DNA?!?!?! :)  Yeah, we thought it was pretty brilliant.

Well, these two are absolutely meant for one another and we feel so blessed to have witnessed the love between them. 

Angela & Dexter — we heart you guys.  thank you for being incredibly fun & warm & fuzzy (not literally)!  we had a great time at your wedding!

THE ANGSTEADS | Portraits

It’s been 3 years since we shot Marc & Toni’s wedding.  We’d link to their wedding on a past blog post, but sadly, it’s no longer online!!! :(  Well, since then they’ve added sweet little Dylan to the family and have Chloe on the way!  We love these two and are so happy to see their new addition!!!  Speaking of additions,  we shot their engagement session at their home and they’ve since doubled the size of their house!  WOWSERS!!!! It’s gorgeous! 

Marc & Toni — you guys are just as fun & beautiful now as you were 3 years ago!  We are so glad we got together to do this shoot!  it was so much fun meeting Dylan, seeing Benny & Sookie again & catching up!  See you guys soon!

DAN AND ALEXIS | wedding

Dan & Alexis had a super cool color scheme for their wedding — grey & yellow!  i was so in love with it, i decided to decorate our bedroom with those colors! :)  it’s not quite done, but it’s getting there!  Their wedding was a hoot — from the live band to the super fun photo booth — all day everyone was full of smiles! 

Major shout out to Guisseppe’s Catering who did a phenomenal job with the food!!! Yummmmmmm!

Ghosts in our meeting room! | Personal

Okay, not really!  But we are in the process of remodeling our meeting space. :)  It’s been a long time coming and, boy, if anyone needs any advice on plastering walls…here’s ours….HIRE SOMEONE!  :)  We are avid do-it-yourselfers but this project took more time and energy than we thought.    We’ll post photos of the finished product…till then check out our chairs that we just purchased!  I saw them on an HGTV show and had to have them.  They are called Louis Ghost Chairs.  They have a classic silhouette with a modern twist and they make our room feel a whole lot bigger! :)

JOHN & JEN | Wedding

Seriously, we almost feel guilty for our calling what we do a “job.”  Especially when we are blessed to have clients as cool as John & Jennifer.  Their wedding was like eye candy for us.  Everything was perfect…from the one-of-a-kind table placemats (a silhouette cut out of these two) to the extraordinary flowers and of course, Jen & John themselves!  The details are only part of what made this wedding memorable.  Their emotional first dance, their heartfelt ceremony and their booty slapping grand entrance contributed to their wedding being nothing short of spectacular. 

Jen — you are a picture of true grace and class.  you looked exquisite on your wedding day!
John — you’re a stud! especially when you do those little side kicks!

We had an awesome time with you guys!  We hope Iowa is treating you guys well!
