GWEN & ARMEL | Engagement

Armel and Gwen met back in middle school and started dating in high school! Years later, they are tying the knot later this month in Balboa Park! For their session, we decided to hit up the San Diego fair to bring back some of the good old times we all had as kids. We did some eating, some rides, some games and just enjoyed the moment. Time flew by so fast and the next thing we knew it was closing time!

Armel and Gwen- See you guys REAL soon! We had a blast hanging out and losing track of time! Hope you guys weren’t too tired at work the next day especially Armel. Enjoy the photos!

JENNIFER AND MENZIES | Engagement

Shiny red shoes, wet t-shirt contest and magic fingers…aaahhhhhh….all the perfect ingredients for an engagement session! We can’t even begin to describe how fun, easy and immensely in love these two are. We couldn’t have paid for an easier couple to photograph! :)

In just 2 short weeks Jennifer and Menzies will be tying the knot and we can hardly wait!

JOY ANN & DELVIN | Wedding

June 26, 2010 – 2:59 am

To say Joy Ann and Delvin’s wedding was fun is an understatement.  Since they own their own business in the music industry and Delvin is a DJ it was only natural for us to assume that they would have great music at their wedding….and they did!  Plus, they had not only one professional dj but 5 professional djs spinning at one time or another.

But more than just the music, these two were surrounded by the coolest bunch of friends and family ever.  From the best man joking that Delvin’s dad looked like Kenny Rogers (and he kinda does) to Joy’s sister, Jaymee, throwing touchdowns in the ballroom from beginning to end the wedding was filled with fun, laughter and love.

Joy Ann and Delvin —  you guys are a pleasure to photograph and an even greater pleasure to know!   We hope you guys had an awesome time traveling through Europe and can’t wait to see photos of your adventures. :)  Till then hope you enjoy your wedding pics!  see you guys soon!

ANNA & PHONG | Engagement

We’ve known Anna for quite some time. She is our fabulous hair stylist!! So when they hired us to shoot their wedding we were nothing but ecstatic. :) We had a super fun time shooting downtown with these two. Phong — we still can’t get over how your mad face is exactly like your sad face! hahahaha

ERIK AND ANGELA | wedding

One of the perks of being a photographer in the family is being able to have the opportunity to document them. It’s a totally different perspective than being a guest but it’s also a very unique opportunity!Jeannette and I had the pleasure of photographing my cousin, Angela, and Erik at the Arbor Terrace at the Grand Tradition! It’s always so interesting to see people grow up! I can remember when Angela was like 5 years old and next thing you know…she’s getting married! WOW, how time flies! =)It was a perfect day for a perfect wedding! They had it all…a beautiful ceremony, fun filled ceremony, laughter, and tears of joy! We got to see family from all over the world to celebrate their wedding day! That’s what’s it all about isn’t it!!!

    erik & angela — awwwwww, we’re touched! we can’t even begin to tell you guys how apparent your love for one another is. when i was going through your photos i would turn to stan and say, “now that’s the look of love.” you guys are both amazing people and we love you a ton!

JONATHAN AND MEGAN | Wedding

June 3, 2010 – 4:29 am

This wedding had a couple of firsts for us!

Number one,  it was our very first time shooting at the Natural History Museum, and we can’t begin to tell you what a cool venue it is for a wedding!  Everyone was dancing among dinosaurs and dining below life-size sea mammals! 

Number two, we had our first wedding crasher! At least the first one that we know of! He was out there dancing until he got caught and was promptly escorted out!  Check out the last image on this post!  He can’t be missed since he has the pink, yellow and green nike’s!

I can’t go any further without mentioning that Megan’s dress was hand sewn by a designer more fabulous than any other designer out there —- Annie, Megan’s mom.  Not only is she the sweetest lady ever but she’s super talented and even to the last minute was making Megan’s garter!

No details were spared for their wedding down to Jonathan’s groom cake which was in the shape of a bottle of Bud and a glass of beer!  It was pretty amazing!

Jonathan & Megan — hope you guys had the best time in Disneyworld and the land of Budweiser!  We had an amazing time at your wedding and hope you enjoy your teaser pics!

BISHOY AND NADA | Engagement

When we first met with Nada and Bishoy and Nada mentioned that she loved dogs and wanted to be a veterinarian I knew instantly that she and I would get along. :) Fast forward to their engagement session…we got to know the two of them much better and can honestly say that these two are not only gorgeous but are smart, funny and have huge hearts. They truly are the complete package and they are perfect for one another.

Nada & Bishoy - We are looking forward to your wedding later this year! Maybe your dad will invite Arnold!!!! :) yes!!! hahaha Thanks again for the delicious dinner! Hope to see you guys soon!

CARRIE & GREG | Engagement

Here’s the quick version of Carrie and Greg’s love story!

Girl meets boy in high school.
Boy asks “How are you?”
Girl thinks he said “What do you think of me?” and says “I think you are tall”…she was very embrassed!
Girl and boy date in high school
They go their own way during college
Meet again after college and the rest is history!

Greg and Carrie, we hope we told the story right! =) Greg is currently in the middle east protecting our country and we hope the photos bring you a smile! Jeannette and I had a great time shooting and hanging out after the session! Thank you again for being so easy going and for “La Puerta”. See you soon!

MARK & BERNADETTE | Engagement

One of the many perks of our job is we are able to go behind the scenes in some pretty cool places.  With Mark & Bernadette that cool place was Petco Park.  Mark works for the Padres so we not only got to take photos out on the field but inside the building as well.  It was a blast!  It doesn’t hurt that we were in the company of 2 of the sweetest people on earth with the most infectious smiles!

RICH & GRACE | Engagement

Rich and Grace will forever go down in Trailbrook History as the first couple to get soaking wet during an engagement session. :)  It’s a testament to how fun & carefree these two are.  It didn’t matter that a storm was brewing or that the water temp was probably 50 degrees Rich and Grace were down for anything.  Oh!  And did we mention that they can cook? :)  ahhhhhh…we’re in love!  Thanks guys for an amazing time!! :)  See you soon!
