TRACEY & JAMES | Dana Point Wedding

Tracey & James were married on the day of the blue moon which very loosely is interpreted as 2 full moons in one month. It’s a pretty rare occurence and I’m just gonna add that it’s probably pretty lucky as well! ;) There isn’t a couple more deserving of this rarity and luck as Tracey & James…truly one of most in love couples we’ve seen!

Here are some of our favorites from their day!

DAVIN & KATIE | Downtown San Diego Engagement Session

Davin owns The Corner Bar in downtown San Diego which by the way has the most AMAZING ahi tuna burgers anywhere! Naturally, we asked if we could start their session there since this is also where all the magic happened between them. :) We had an incredible time strolling the streets of downtown with these two and can’t wait for their Skybox wedding later this year!

ED & LEE | Temecula Engagement Session

Because Lee & Ed love wine so much we decided to hit up Temecula for some wine tasting during their session. If there’s one thing we love more than a little wine while we shoot it’s a couple in love. These two could not keep their hands off each other and would sneak little hugs & smooches when they thought we weren’t looking. :) Needless to say, they gave us plenty of photo opps!

Along the way we stumbled upon an orange grove and decided to test out their juggling skills. Well, it just so happens that in addition to being an attorney Ed is also a part time juggler at a circus. Okay, I lied. But we were surprised when we asked him to juggle and he simply replied “okay” then proceeded to juggle with great ease. And let’s just say that Lee is not a part time juggler at a circus but is also an attorney. :)

Lee & Ed — we’re so glad that we got to spend some time with you guys and discover Temecula! You guys are such incredible sports! We won’t post photos of our little “slipping” incident but we gotta tell you while processing your images we couldn’t help but smile when we saw them. :) Enjoy the pics!

BEN & VANNESSA | Wedding

We are so excited to share these next images with you all! Not just cause we’re in love with Ben & Vannessa’s images but because we’re kinda in love with Ben & Vannessa! :) haha okay, that sounded borderline stalker. But seriously, we’ve never come across a couple who would constantly ask how we are doing while shooting their wedding and always offering us food & drinks. They were the ones wearing multiple layers and/or wearing 4 inch Louboutins and here they are asking us if we’re comfortable! :) But that’s just Ben & Vannessa…two of the most caring, sweetest, most genuine people we’ve ever come across. Add to that list, good looks, great sense of humor, intelligence, mad dancing skills and a love for all things disney! now do you see why we’re smitten with these two?

These two were married up in Rancho Cucamongo and while scoping out the area for “picturesque” spots one thing kept popping up — power lines! So rather than avoid it we decided to use them in some of their photographs. And boy are we glad we did! Thanks to Ben & Vannessa and all the bridal party members who were sweet enough to make these photos happen!

Lastly, we can’t forget to mention all the amazing vendors we worked with that day. Charmae & Cyril of Bellz & Whistlez always seem to go above and beyond for their couples and this day was no exception. They truly are the epitome of professionalism. Also, we had the pleasure of working with the team of Loyd Calomay Films (Loyd, Hazel and Louie) who are exceptional videographers! They are the nicest, least intrusive, funniest and downright most creative people we’ve worked with. Their same day edit was pretty darn spectacular and had a seamless fusion of Ben & Vannessa’s actual first dance with their “practice” version. The moments they choose, the timing of the music to their footage, the sound clips they incorporate….every video is unique & unexpected. They are true artists! Seriously, check out their work and see for yourself! And we can’t leave out FLoralworks who did the beautiful flowers, Katie B who did the girl’s amazing hair & make-up & Eddie Cruz, their dj, who kept the dance floor packed ALL NIGHT LONG. Even their limo driver whose name we don’t know but we will get soon was so incredibly sweet. I mean, really? Everyone so nice?!?!? That’s just the kind of people that Ben & Vannessa deserve to be around!

CHERRIE & EDWARD | St. Regis Wedding

To say Ed & Cherrie are the nicest people you will ever meet is an understatement. Case in point Stan & I have been calling Cherrie “Sherry” when in actuality it’s pronounced “cherry” like the fruit. Not once did any of them correct us. So not until the wedding day did we finally hear the correct pronunciation. So Cherrie…we are so sorry for not saying your name correctly!!!! Whew, now that we’ve made our public apology….. :)

Last month we had the absolute pleasure of photographing Cherrie & Ed’s wedding at the gorgeous St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort. The day was absolute perfection! Of course, we are a bit biased since they had a CHURRO cart, a dessert table, a candy/goody station and cake during their reception! :) That is the first time we’ve seen that in 7 years of shooting weddings! hmmm… i wonder who has a sweet tooth between the two of them?

All the details were stunning but most of all Cherrie & Ed were beaming from head to toe. Their wedding was filled with so much love, so many touching moments and a whole lot of laughter. The best man & MOH speeches were hilarious complete with a Charger Snuggie & a video clip of Ed dancing on MTV’s Spring Break. Seriously, if you check out the slideshow you’ll see that there’s a lot of tonsil action from all the laughter that took place! :)

Ed & Cherrie —- you guys are seriously so meant for eachother! we had such a great time at your wedding, catching up with your family and witnessing the love between you two. enjoy the photos and we’ll talk to you soon!

We also have to give a shout out to all the amazing vendors we worked with that day. Not sure if it’s just Ed & Cherrie’s wedding or if all vendors from Orange County are pleasant but we couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of people to be surrounded with.

I’m not one to hold grudges but….i might call this next photo payback for a lil’ dent in my forehead that Shea, Ed’s sister, gave me when we were kids. hahahahahahaha

ERIK AND ANGELA | wedding

One of the perks of being a photographer in the family is being able to have the opportunity to document them. It’s a totally different perspective than being a guest but it’s also a very unique opportunity!Jeannette and I had the pleasure of photographing my cousin, Angela, and Erik at the Arbor Terrace at the Grand Tradition! It’s always so interesting to see people grow up! I can remember when Angela was like 5 years old and next thing you know…she’s getting married! WOW, how time flies! =)It was a perfect day for a perfect wedding! They had it all…a beautiful ceremony, fun filled ceremony, laughter, and tears of joy! We got to see family from all over the world to celebrate their wedding day! That’s what’s it all about isn’t it!!!

CARRIE & GREG | Engagement

Here’s the quick version of Carrie and Greg’s love story!

Girl meets boy in high school.
Boy asks “How are you?”
Girl thinks he said “What do you think of me?” and says “I think you are tall”…she was very embrassed!
Girl and boy date in high school
They go their own way during college
Meet again after college and the rest is history!

Greg and Carrie, we hope we told the story right! =) Greg is currently in the middle east protecting our country and we hope the photos bring you a smile! Jeannette and I had a great time shooting and hanging out after the session! Thank you again for being so easy going and for “La Puerta”. See you soon!

CHRISTINA & JEREMY | Engagement

We were so excited to photograph Christina & Jeremy’s engagement session in New York. New York is one of our absolute favorite cities to visit so they didn’t have to twist our arm to go there! Not only did we get to shoot all around the city but we also had a pretty gifted tour guide…Jeremy! :) Thanks for pointing out some sites for us!

Jeremy & Christina — You guys really made our visit enjoyable! Wish we had hung out later in the evening so we could try the night specialist! :) We loved all the places you took us and are so excited to show you your photos! Enjoy!
