Lise & Kyle | US Grant Wedding

Just got back from a week long vacation and we are eager than ever to show you some photos from our last wedding of 2010.

Lise & Kyle had a chic, elegant wedding at the US Grant. We were literally blown away when we walked into the Presidential Ballroom and saw 3 photographs from Lise & Kyle’s engagement session used as their head table backdrop. It was insanely cool! Every detail was spectacular from the custom chandeliers, to the pearls strewn across the tables and even the jewel encrusted napkin holders. Of course, with Lise & Kyle’s impeccable sense of style we did not expect any less!

All we have to say is we could not have asked for a better wedding to end our 2010! And since we photographed Eddy & Karen’s wedding 2 months earlier we were able to see so many familiar faces which was an absolute pleasure in itself!

I just want to end this post with a quote I borrowed from Lise & Kyle’s “About Us” category on their wedding site:

An unlikely pairing of lawyer and human, Lise and Kyle were voted “most adorable” by a panel of themselves. They have no pets but hope to one day adopt a highway.

When I read this it totally cracked me up and it just shows how in addition to great style & great looks these two also have great wit!

EMILIE & LOWELL | Crossings Wedding

December 17, 2010 – 2:18 pm

From the moment we met Emilie & Lowell, it felt like we had known them for ages. During the engagement session, it was all laughter and it just felt right! The more and more we got to know about them, the more we understood why! They are foodies…so are we! Lowell loves playing basketball, I (Stan) also love playing basketball. They love hiking…we love hiking! Lowell has a passion for photography…obviously we do too! Finally, Emilie loves to bake…we love to eat baked goods! ;P

On their wedding day, we had the incredible honor of witnessing their love one more time. And this time, we could totally feel it if that makes sense. They were all smiles, so relaxed and so in the moment as if they were the only two people on earth. And Lowell who normally isn’t the mushy type was sneaking kisses with Emilie all day! We have proof! It was a perfect day from beginning to end. From the perfect weather, to the touching father/daughter dance and even a singing performance by Emilie’s sister. She sang a song from Wicked, Lowell & Emilie’s favorite musical, and one of our all time favorites as well!

RICH & GRACE | Crosby Wedding, Rancho Santa Fe

We’ve only known Rich & Grace for under a year but they have fast become two of our greatest friends. They know that the best way to our hearts is through our stomachs and let me tell you, these two can COOK! Beyond their culinary skills, they are also two of the kindest, most laid back, sincere, and fun-loving people we know. Needless to say we were more than honored to be a part of their wedding day.

I can’t end this post without saying that Grace is every guy’s dream. First, she’s hot. Second, she’s smart. Third, she’s warm hearted. Fourth, she has phenomenal skin. Fifth, she watches football. I have to admit, i’ve never been in a “getting ready” room where 8 gals are in 4 inch heels, eating bagels and hooting & hollering over a football game. Oh and running on time….way ahead of time. So Rich…you scored!

As for Rich…yes, he’s a steal too. He’s good-looking, loves to cook, has mad conga drums skills and can tumble like a roly poly stealth ninja! ;P

All-in-all these two are perfect for eachother and we couldn’t be happier for them!

JEREMY & CHRISTINA | Long Beach Wedding

November 5, 2010 – 5:04 am

During the toast portion of a wedding it’s pretty common that the bridesmaid speech makes you cry and the groomsmen speech make you laugh. Well, lately it’s been the dads who’ve been stealing the show! And at Jeremy & Christina’s wedding both of their fathers gave the funniest speeches with some tidbits of touching moments. First was Jeremy’s dad whose term “NG” we’ve adopted today. He described how growing up Jeremy tried all sports and did really well at basketball but when it came to soccer or football he was…NG. I’ll let you guess what it might mean! Then Christina’s dad followed up recalling her failed attempts to lie about sneaking out when she was younger. It was a lot of fun!

Jeremy & Christina — congrats, guys! what an awesome wedding! we’re crazy about you guys and hope you enjoy your pics!

JENNA & BRIAN | Rancho Santa Fe Wedding

October 28, 2010 – 6:36 pm

One word comes to mind when I think of Jenna & Brian’s wedding — magical! We felt like we were in a secret garden. It was truly beautiful! The details were meticulous and fit perfectly in the garden setting. Jenna did the centerpieces and decor on her own (or maybe with the help of her awesome mom). Everything from the pale roses, to the outdoor chandeliers down to the gold dusted sugar cookies that greeted guests into the ceremony area were just perfect! We wouldn’t expect any less for these two. They are so madly in love and perfect for one another! To top off an already magical evening, they ended their day by dancing to Purple Rain all while being surrounded by the candlelight of all their family and friends.

Oh, and we can’t forget to mention Avery and Dusty, Jenna’s kids, who are so cute and were such a huge part of the wedding day. all i have to say is Justin Beiber, watch out! You’ve got nothin’ on Dusty! and Avery our little photo magnet who at 5 years old even sang a prayer before dinner! so fricken’ cute!

Brian & Jenna — you two are amazing inside & out. we had a super fab time at your wedding and can’t wait to show you all your images!

LOWELL & EMILIE | Engagement Session

Chatting via iChat was how Lowell & Emilie stayed in touch during their long distance relationship so we knew we had to incorporate this into their e-session. Time literally flew during their session cause we had such a good time with these two. Towards the end of their session, we got a little tired so we handed our cameras over to Lowell since he’s a photography buff! We can’t wait till their wedding at the end of this month. Hopefully, Emilie will bake some goodies for her big day. We hear she’s quite the baker!

JENNA & BRIAN | Engagement Session

Jenna and Brian were a hoot to photograph! Just look at the images…looks straight out of a magazine! Jenna and Brian came ready with an awesome wardrobe that only further complemented their location. They will be getting married very shortly…like this week and we look forward to that. Their location will be at the beautiful Villa de las Flores in Rancho Santa Fe and we can’t wait to see all the decorations!

Jenna and Brian- Thanks again for your trust and we had a blast! We will have to continue it this weekend! Wow…does time fly!!

Eddy & Karen | Hilton Bayfront Wedding

P.A.R.T.Y. Yeah, that’s exactly what Eddy & Karen’s wedding was not to mention an impeccable display of structure & art. The Hilton Bayfront in downtown San Diego with it’s clean lines and modern accents was the perfect venue to suit the taste of Eddy & Karen. And I can’t even begin to describe the amazing chuppah that Eddy designed and Ana of Floralworks executed. It was insanely cool! You have to see it to believe it! To top it off, Eddy even designed their logo for their wedding and it was included in all the details of the day from the truffles, to the tequila bottles on each table to the warm, fuzzy slippers for guests to take home. Truly an exquisite event!

I loved everything about their day….the strong sense of community and the close bond between friends & family…the rich traditions…the crazy dancing….everything was just awesome! And of course we can’t leave out Eddy & Karen, two of the warmest people we have ever met. Congratulations, you guys! Thank you soooo much for choosing us to be a part of your day. It was truly an honor!

CHERRIE & EDWARD | St. Regis Wedding

September 10, 2010 – 2:50 pm

To say Ed & Cherrie are the nicest people you will ever meet is an understatement. Case in point Stan & I have been calling Cherrie “Sherry” when in actuality it’s pronounced “cherry” like the fruit. Not once did any of them correct us. So not until the wedding day did we finally hear the correct pronunciation. So Cherrie…we are so sorry for not saying your name correctly!!!! Whew, now that we’ve made our public apology…..

Last month we had the absolute pleasure of photographing Cherrie & Ed’s wedding at the gorgeous St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort. The day was absolute perfection! Of course, we are a bit biased since they had a CHURRO cart, a dessert table, a candy/goody station and cake during their reception! That is the first time we’ve seen that in 7 years of shooting weddings! hmmm… i wonder who has a sweet tooth between the two of them?

All the details were stunning but most of all Cherrie & Ed were beaming from head to toe. Their wedding was filled with so much love, so many touching moments and a whole lot of laughter. The best man & MOH speeches were hilarious complete with a Charger Snuggie & a video clip of Ed dancing on MTV’s Spring Break. Seriously, if you check out the slideshow you’ll see that there’s a lot of tonsil action from all the laughter that took place!

Ed & Cherrie —- you guys are seriously so meant for eachother! we had such a great time at your wedding, catching up with your family and witnessing the love between you two. enjoy the photos and we’ll talk to you soon!

We also have to give a shout out to all the amazing vendors we worked with that day. Not sure if it’s just Ed & Cherrie’s wedding or if all vendors from Orange County are pleasant but we couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of people to be surrounded with.

Cory and Melanie| Engagement- Torrey Pines

Cory and Melanie will be getting married in two short weeks at Ponte Winery in Temecula! Theydrove all the way from Las Vegas for their session and it was definitely a blast! For the session, we hit up multiple spots that are landmarks that make San Diego so beautiful!

Cory and Melanie- Thanks for being such troopers hiking with us and trying to utilize every bit of light we could get! We can’t wait for the big day!
