EMILIE & LOWELL | Crossings Wedding

December 17, 2010 – 2:18 pm

From the moment we met Emilie & Lowell, it felt like we had known them for ages. During the engagement session, it was all laughter and it just felt right! The more and more we got to know about them, the more we understood why! They are foodies…so are we! Lowell loves playing basketball, I (Stan) also love playing basketball. They love hiking…we love hiking! Lowell has a passion for photography…obviously we do too! Finally, Emilie loves to bake…we love to eat baked goods! ;P

On their wedding day, we had the incredible honor of witnessing their love one more time. And this time, we could totally feel it if that makes sense. They were all smiles, so relaxed and so in the moment as if they were the only two people on earth. And Lowell who normally isn’t the mushy type was sneaking kisses with Emilie all day! We have proof! It was a perfect day from beginning to end. From the perfect weather, to the touching father/daughter dance and even a singing performance by Emilie’s sister. She sang a song from Wicked, Lowell & Emilie’s favorite musical, and one of our all time favorites as well!

ANNA & PHONG | Coronado Wedding

November 21, 2010 – 9:59 pm

We met Anna about 3 years ago. I like to call her my first “big girl” hair stylist. Before Anna, I had my hair cut by whoever and it usually cost me about $10 cause i just didn’t care enough. Till one day when i got the most crooked hair cut with bowl cut bangs. Since then i vowed to go to someone that knew how to cut hair especially thick hair like mine. I’ve been going to Anna ever since and so does Stan. So if any of you need a great haircut from an equally great person…look Anna up! She’s awesome!

Now on to their wedding day! It was a day full of laughter, DELICIOUS food, more laughter and of course, love. We saw a side of Phong that we never expected. For one, he had to work hard to be allowed to see Anna during the tea ceremony. And when I say hard I mean sing & dance “Slave for You” by Britney Spears in front of all his friends & family. Ha, Anna’s bridesmaid, did an excellent job spearheading that venture! Second, he cried during his sister & brother’s toast. I knew he was a teddy bear inside! We already know Anna is a softy so seeing Phong’s soft side further exemplified how perfect these two are for eachother!

And we can’t forget to mention the food at their reception! Wow! Crab legs, sushi, crepes, sliders…you name it, they had it! it was unbelievable!

Anna & Phong — to our fellow dog lovers…well, you guys already know how much we adore you! thank you for having us be a part of your day! it was soooooo much fun!!!!

MARK & BERNADETTE | Omni Wedding

October 8, 2010 – 10:27 pm

After we shot Mark and Bernadette inside Petco park for their engagement session, we knew their wedding day was going to be special!

Confucious says, “Heart shaped clouds mean lasting marriage.” Okay, so it wasn’t exactly a heart-shaped cloud, but there was a heart in the sky during the Padres game that took place on Mark & Bernadette’s wedding day. We also ran into a Filipino celebrity, Lea Salonga, who was so gracious to take a photo with them.

In addition to the heart shaped cloud, Mark & Bernadette folded 1,000 origami cranes for their wedding. According to tradition folding 1,000 origami cranes tests a couple’s willingness to communicate and spend time together whilst performing a challenging task. The completion of this task symbolizes their ability to maintain a long-term, content relationship. These two definitely share a deep love & respect for one another and we know 50 years from now they will be just as happy & in love as they are today.

Mark and Bernadette- Congrats again guys! We had so much fun being there with you guys on your special day!

JENNIFER & PETER | San Francisco Engagement Session

We had a super fun time with Jennifer & Peter up in San Francisco. We started off at the Ferry Landing Building then cruised around San Francisco looking for cool places to shoot and along the way ran into some interesting people and interesting droppings. wink wink…inside joke.

Jennifer & Peter will be getting married in 3 weeks and we can’t wait to see them again!

JENNIFER & MENZIES | Crosby Wedding, Rancho Santa Fe

August 15, 2010 – 1:29 am

Peanut butter & jelly, oreo cookies & milk —- things that are great alone but are even better when they are together, that’s how we can best describe Jennifer & Menzies. When these two are together their eyes light up; they are constantly laughing and love is just oozing everywhere. And of course, they are just about the kindest people around and I will illustrate this point by briefly mentioning a tidbit from Monica’s (Jen’s maid of honor) speech. Monica was craving mangoes. On their way up to one of their many travels Jen & Menzies offered to buy Monica her coveted mangoes. The fruit stand was closed but instead of just saying, “Oh well, next time.” Menzies climbed over the fence, grabbed a bag of mangoes and left money with a note on the counter. Now, those are some good friends!!! Risking trespassing charges for a friend…how awesome is that?!!! Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed being a part of their day. Now on to the photos!

MIKE & REBECCA | Wedding

I loved the simplicity of Mike & Rebecca’s wedding. They used beautiful mosaic tiled candle holders as their centerpieces that created the most beautiful glow in the Loggia Room. As we strolled around Balboa Park, there were several stargazers out at the park who let us look through their telescopes. It was very fitting that we were able to see Venus, named for the Roman Goddess of love, on their wedding day since these two are absolutely ga ga for eachother!

Hey Guys! Congrats again on such a beautiful wedding! You guys are gorgeous inside & out! Talk to you soon!
